“Houston, we DON’T have a problem!”
It’s nice to hear that “Houston has NO problem”. Weeks ago, the IFMA and FM community held their breath and watched the reports about Hurricane Harvey. Many of us FM’ er and FM Consultants have doubted whether the situation can be normalized so that the IFMA World Workplace can take place again. On the other hand, however, we are experienced facility managers and we know from our experience that good crisis management must always be able to make the core business work again as quickly as possible. It would probably also be a minor embarrassment if our profession in particular had failed at our own congress due to a natural disaster and if the congress had been cancelled or postponed.
All the more we as guests of the conference admire how professionally and on time the parties involved in the organisation of the conference got the situation under control and now obviously everything is ready to celebrate our profession. KUDOS and THANK YOU!!
Thanks also to Eileen McMorrow @McMorrowReports for the informative article http://mcmorrowreports.com/oct-18-20-for-world-workplace-ifma-embraces-houston-its-hq-city/
GFMA (Global FM Alliance) and its partners David Reynolds, Daniela Friess, Markus Groll and Stephen Brown will continue to report on the IFMA World Workplace in the next few days.
